Vada Sultenfuss
If there was one girl that I wanted to be when I was growing up, it was defintely Vada from My Girl. I think it mostly had to do with the fact that as a 10 year old with complete freedom for a summer - jumping in lakes with her shoes on, riding bikes, mood rings, weeping willows, poems about ice-cream -- agh, so awesome. I want to be in that summer now!
It could have also been her cool tom-boy attitude and the awesome mid-70s vibe of the movie, too....
If I was going to spend my summer like Veda, I wouldn't need much. Just some cutoffs, converse and of course her red lipstick.

ugh...i love Vada. You're right, she was so effortlessly cool.
Just watched this movie last week and has these exact same feelings. Hands down, still one of my favorites!
