Black and Yellow All Over (Fashion + Decor Inspiration)

The black and yellow can be a bit scary, because it's easy to feel like the combination leads to bumblebee territory.... but, these folks are doing it right...

How easy would it be to throw in a mustard dress with some of your existing black basics like these three ladies? (The dress in the first image is a darling backless mustard dress from Zara)

 Two cozy rooms:

This (glossy) yellow ceiling brightens the entire room!

Super cute Lucy Laucht sporting an easily re-creatable look. (I think the neutral colors help temper the stark black and yellow)

Jenna Lyons' amazing New York home...

This Paris fashion week shot is making me want the perfect "high-low" skirt

What do you think?  Is this a combo you're willing to give a try?

Yellow and black together in a fashionable outfit? I never thought that it was even possible! The combination was a fail for me until the last photo shows up. Paris should have the most fashionable people award, really. Korean fashion 2012 is what I am following now but I might make a switch and get a black and white pieces so I can try this cozy look.
