Bright Pants!

My absolute favorite trend from the Fall 2011 runways was bright colored pants, especially in red and orange hues.   A style that was once reserved for only the preppiest of preppy-- I think these images prove that they are totally wearable by anyone!

I got an amazing deal at Gap last month on some bright red cropped corduroys and I can't stop wearing them. They honestly make me happy every time I put them on!  Obviously they will be great for spring but I also think they work well with layers to spice up a classic sweater or coat like they showed on the runways.

It looks like all the Gap corduroys are gone but I found a couple of fun colors at Zara, TopShop and American Apparel.  Pictures along with some other inpsiratioal photos are below.

Such Pretty Dresses

I stumbled upon Amy Claire's website after seeing a cute little dress on Taylor Swift(?!) and I'd happily wear any of the Fall 2010 designs!
Sequins seem to be all the rage this holiday season but I think these black and nude combination of lace and chiffon have such a great fun but polished look.

I even love the shoes-Mary-Jane's with little bows!

A dose of pink

I hardly ever where lipstick (and by hardly ever, I mean: I've never worn it out of the house while not in costume) However, this image of Gillian Zinser , (the surfer girl on 90210 for those of you who aren't tuning in weekly like me) has me dying to try bright pink lipstick.

How stunningly cool does she look! And her lipstick matches the stitching on her shirt?!

I Want It All: Lauren Moffatt

After discovering her on Gilt a couple years ago, season after season, I tend to be in love with almost every piece of Lauren Moffatt's collection.

This fall was no exception. I keep going back to her site hoping that something will be magically 75% off. It hasn't happened yet but these are the pieces I'm lusting after the most:
