Circular Photo Prints (an Etsy Roundup)

I've had a recent obsession with circular cropped photos.  I think it's especially intriguing with seascapes, because the shape is reminiscent of looking out a porthole.  But, the shape also adds some interest to what might be otherwise generic photos as well.   I think these would a great way to break up rectangular images in an art collage.

Today is a Good Day

The perfect print for a Monday from Wild Horse Home...

I love how instead of a frame,  it's a retro wall hanging.  Almost feels like you could hang it up anywhere, just as a little reminder :)

Poured Paint Art by Holton Rower

I recently watched this enchanting video of Horton Power's painting process and I had to share.  They pour layers and layers of colored paint and let gravity build these awesome art installations. Clearly the choice of colors, the amount of paint and speed in which they pour dictates the end result and I love how they create such varied layers of color.   It would be awesome to see these in person, but I think even photos of them could make interesting wall art.

I wonder if it's something I could re-create in a small scale at home. They must take forever to dry.

Some Girly Pop Art

I'm not sure where I originally came across Heath Killen's work, but I love his bold illustrations.  He seems to have done everything from album covers to corporate info-graphics but it was this series, "Ordinary Flora" that I bookmarked a while back and keep coming back to.   I love anything pop-art style and I think his graphic combinations are just perfect!

I think it is a bit too girly for my co-ed apartment;  however, if I had my own space (maybe a craft room one day?), a giant version of this would be hanging in it.

I love this one too....How great would they look in a graphic black and white room?!

Happy Friday!
