Caught of few photos of my outfit the other day. I'm not the type of person who can let my favorite dresses sit in the closet waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear them, so I tend to layer them with more casual pieces (like this trucker jacket) to make them wearable for more "everyday" occasions. I picked up this Lauren Moffatt dress a few years ago on Gilt, and I think it's the perfect mix of classic with a twist -- I expect it to stay in my closet for years to come.
The details:
Blue and green striped silk dress - Lauren Moffatt, via Gilt
Denim trucker jacket - Levi's
Strappy sandals - J.Crew
Rafia clutch - Forever 21 (Similar)
These fancy folks make yellow sofas seem surprisingly approachable...If I was starting a new room from scratch, I'd definitely consider it...
I think it all started with Jenna Lyons' NY living room...
This one even works in a sectional! If you're looking to recover an old sofa, maybe you should consider an unconventional color...
Green and blue go perfectly together, and I love how lively and fun they can feel when layered in a room. Recently, I've been especially feeling this color pair, when layered with a range of different versions of green, blue, and teal/turquoise colors in between.
This living room took a bolder approach, but I think the green in the sofa helps break up what could have otherwise been an overpoweringly blue room.
These beautifully graphic green curtains are perfectly complimented by the turquoise sofa. A standard beige sofa wouldn't have nearly the same impact!
The perfect print for a Monday from Wild Horse Home...
I love how instead of a frame, it's a retro wall hanging. Almost feels like you could hang it up anywhere, just as a little reminder :)
