Wearing Winter Shorts: Featured on NY Times Style!
Pinch me! If you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw my excitement this morning when a friend pointed out to me that my photo was the top image on the New York Times Fashion & Style page! The feature was street style photos on how to wear shorts for the winter. Here is my outfit:

I think shorts are a great option year-round. They're comfortable and tend to be a bit more fun than pants! Just keep a few things in mind:
- Stick to shorts in seasonally appropriate fabrics and colors. White linen or patterned fabric would look totally out of place in November, however dark colors in fabrics like wool and leather make total sense.
- Wear tights! You still have to beat the chilly wind. Just like with a short dress or skirt, tights are the perfect base layer for winter shorts.
- Layer up! With your legs exposed, you don't need to bare all on top, too. Plus, more layers will keep you even warmer.
