Vest+Romper

How darling is this vest & romper combo that Vanessa Jackman captured at Paris men's fashion week?  I never would have thought I'd be on the hunt for a white moto-vest... but she has me considering...

Check out her tips on how to re-create the outfit here.

Boyfriend Jeans?

I go back and forth on "boyfriend" jeans....On one hand,  the relaxed, saggy fit totally casually gives off the "I just rolled out of bed looking like this" vibe that I'd love to achieve when I'm getting dressed... however,  they often just end up looking unflattering and frumpy on women.   I keep thinking this style will disappear, but I continue to see stylish women, wearing boyfriend fits and looking fabulous! So, what do you think?

Check out this timeless Parisian girl in oversized rolled jeans and perfect brown leather oxfords.  Tres chic.....

Although flats can work (above)  heals seem to be the best way to make the boyfriend fit a bit more flattering.

I bookmarked this image because of her beautiful braid, but the outfit looks pretty good, too.

I leave you with two images of J.Crew's Jenna Lyons to mull it over...

A Little Polka Dot Inspiration

I recently did a polka dot project (coming to the blog soon!) and it made me pull up some of my favorite polka-dot street style/fashion inspiration.

Here is model Poppy Delevigne looking awesome in polka-dot pants and an awesome blue scalloped jacket at fashion week.

I bookmarked this look from Shopbop because I think it's totally wearable. (And something about polka-dots plus red feels really classic)

Another iteration of b&w spots with red. This time red takes center stage....

And... how Vogue editor Filipa Fino styled the same top,  with a polka dot skirt for Vogue's Five Days, Five Looks, One Girl

Here is a shot of Mary-Kate Olsen from way back in 2007.  Except for the shoes, this still looks fresh to me...

And here's Blair from Atlantic-Pacific mastering the double polka dot look.

My Look: Camo & Yellow

I wouldn't normally consider myself a camo person, but at $16 last summer,  this jacket caught my eye.  I typically pair it with neutrals (like jeans and a tee or a white dress) but yesterday I threw it on with my yellow pants.

The details:

Camouflage Twill Jacket (Old Navy)

Yellow Twill Jeans (Loft)

White button down (Forever 21)

White Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars

How to Wear Green (for St. Patrick's Day and Beyond)

Since I've got green on the brain this week, I figured I'd share some of my favorite green street style pictures for inspiration.

How darling is this shrunken little green jacket?

This shot is a bit more minty; I love the varying tones and textures.  I also think gold+green is a great combo and that necklace is a fun choice.

This etheral shot makes me want to throw on a maxi skirt and picnic in the woods.  How perfect is the green with her bleach blond hair?!

Of course, the stunning Duchess in a silk long sleeve green Diane von Furstenberg dress:

Blogger Liz from Late Afternoon in some stunning green wide-leg Alice + Olivia pants, a floral blouse and a classic trench.

I wish I could casually throw on a (green) silk maxi dress in the way Hanneli does.  She always manages to look perfectly effortless.

Here is a more approachable street style shot of a simple green skirt and sort of schoolgirl-esque look, toughened up by a leather jacket.

Ahhh.... and here is the illustrious green suit.  With a simple white blouse and a pair of white pumps, this look is easy, yet pretty perfect. (make this in shorts, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Don't forget to pull out something green :)
